Mmm Teen Vogue?
Image by Vincent Boiteau via Flickr
So I am way to old to read Teen Vogue but they have some good tips on how to enhance your eye color: "Choosing the right color palette to set off your eye color can be hit or miss. But thankfully we have Physicians Formula celebrity makeup artist, Joanna Schlip, to save the day! Read on for her tips...
For green eyes, Joanna suggests using plum and purple shades to bring out the green in the iris. "Pair with a mossy green eyeliner in the wet line of the eye and you will be the envy of all," she says. Joanna suggests trying Physicians Formula Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Liner in Green Eyes, and then topping it off with black mascara--her favorite is Dior Show. "When vamping up the eyes with a bright purple shadow, do a soft nude lip," says Joanna.
For blue eyes, Joanna thinks that gold to rich brown shadows and liners look best. She recommends Nars Duo Eyeshadow Compact in Cordura: "To highlight blue eyes, line either gray, charcoal or black eyeliner along the outside lash line such as Physicians Formula Eye Definer Pencil in Ultra. To give blue eyes that super blue look, use a sapphire blue liner in the wet line along the lower lashes and complete with dark black mascara." For lips, Joanna suggests a pink or nude gloss for balance."
